On 5th november Sigur Ros release "Hvarf-Heim.An album with 2 titles because it is in effect,2 separate but complementary entities. 2 front cover 2 discs."Hvarf" is a 5 track electric studio record comprising of unreleased and collectable rarities.In fact the word " Hvarf" means "disappeared". "Heim" is a 6 track acoustic record,comprising delicate new unplugged version of some of Sigur Ros' best moments.Hljomalind is amazing track taken from the electric selection of songs,this song is known as Rokklagid,one of the best song of early era,they played as untitled song in a famous Laugardalshöllin 03.09.99 .Hverf-Heim is a companion release to Sigur Ros' first ever Film which also comes out on DVD on 5th november.The Film is called Heima(at home) and was filmed over 2 weeks in the summer of 2006 when the band undertook a free tour of Iceland,playing in the furthest flung corners of their homeland to create something inspirational. They played 15 shows in the most unusual venues from highland wildernesses,to Community Halls,to an unusued fish factory,culminating in the biggest gig in their career in Reykjavik.This amazingly beautiful Film will have it's UK premier in the Electric Proms on the 24th october,at which Sigur Ros will also do an exclusive acoustic performance.Hljomalind will be on sale from 29th october also in 7" vinyl.
